Payment Info

Ongoing Classes

Enrolled students are billed on a per 1-month session basis. Tuition amount is calculated by multiplying ‘Price per class’ (see pricing chart above) by the number of classes in a given 1-month session. Prices are automatically adjusted if any classes fall on an Art Academia recognized holiday, and/or if students sign-up after a 1-month session has begun.

Tryout Classes

Prospective students can take One Free tryout class before enrolling to Ongoing classes. Tuition amount is calculated by “Price per class” (see pricing chart above).

Tryouts are available for new students only. Classes are subject to availability with priority granted for currently enrolled students. All materials are included for tryout classes. To sign-up, please call at 650-759-4745 or email to classes@artacademia.com

Issuing Payments

Students can pay tuition via Art Academia’s online booking system, personal check or Zelle. Please note that online credit card payments are subject to 1-4% service charges as determined by third-party payment vendors.


Reserving a Spot

All classes are subject to availability, and sign-ups occur on a rolling basis. Students are strongly encouraged to enroll as far in advance as possible to ensure their spot is held for the following 1-month session. Art Academia will remind ongoing students to sign up for future sessions, but it is ultimately the responsibility of students to sign up in a timely fashion. Priority is granted to students in Ongoing classes.


Unless explicitly stated in the class description, procuring painting and drawing materials are the responsibility of each student. To make sure you have what you need, we are of course happy to advise which ones we think are best:

Make-up Policy

Students are asked to attend all scheduled classes to maximize learning and minimize disruption for students and instructors. But we understand missing a class is sometimes necessary. To be eligible, please send email to artacademia.com or call 650-759-4745 no less than 24 hours ahead of your missed class.

With your 24 hr advance notice, we will record your missed class and email you a link. You will follow step by step instructions and next week you will be able to continue with the rest of the class. Zoom link will be emailed to you same or day after.
Tuition can not be prorated for missed class except your vacation time for more than three weeks of absence.


Art Academia is a place of learning, experimentation, self expression, and collaboration - as such, we ask all participants to treat the school, staff, and one another with utmost respect. All members of our school are expected to maintain a standard of behavior conducive to the academic spirit of learning. Any violation, including but not limited to physical confrontation, use of inappropriate language, destruction of property, or any other behavior deemed to be in violation of the school’s policies and/or standards of behavior may result in suspension or expulsion, and forfeiter of any remaining tuition.

Standards of Conduct


Withdrawal Policy

Students are entitled to a 100% refund if a student withdrawal notice is received no later than 2 weeks before the session start date. Students withdrawing within 2 week of the start date are entitled to a 50% refund. Once a session has begun, no refunds will be granted for class withdrawals.
